public class TimeGap
extends DETransformer

This actor measures the time interval between arrivals of successive input tokens. Beginning with the second input arrival, the measurement is produced at the output. The output is always a DoubleToken.

Construct an actor with the specified container and name.

Parameters:

container - The container.

name - The name.

Throws:

IllegalActionException - If the entity cannot be contained by the proposed container.

NameDuplicationException - If the container already has an actor with this name.

Beginning with the second input, produce an output that is the elapsed time since the previous input is received. When the first input is received, nothing is produced. This method consumes at most one token from the input each time it is fired.
